Can't really wrap my head around this yet. I can only thank him for all the fun he has helped to create with this great band for this great fan base. To watch him progress from the first time i saw the band at the yellow school house to a packed hill on a Saturday night in between moe. has been amazing. Best of luck in the future Kelly...

Amen to that!

As Dave always said during the band intros, "Kelly Kane, the heart and soul of The Brew".

We'll miss ya bud!

As I said on Facebook, while Kelly may not be on stage, he's still a major part of the band family, and always will be! Thanks for the great times!

Been following the band since they opened for GPN in Skowhegan, ME in 2006. I concur that Kelly Kane and dem crazy beats will be sorely missed. Last saw them at PCMH on Jan 27th, and caught their prior show on Dec 8th at the same place. Probably total of a dozen shows and I want more. I saw on Facebook someone said we need to take up a collection. AGREED! Why not support the bands financially when you get an awesome product such as this.

Thoughts?

My thoughts are that while Kane will certainly be missed, this collection that you and "facebooker" speak of, though kind in intent, is nary feasible.

Hit up the Grog on Monday night and see what's goin' down. I'm guessing you'll be at a little more ease after the night is through!

That show (your first) was a blast. Great night at the police station.

:)

I'm predicting a Looking Down opener or encore Monday night ;)

I sure wish I could have made the show at the Grog. I was all set for the "Old School" show at the Masonic and I would have been traveling with new Brew fans as well.

But alas it wasn't meant to be. Went to the dentist instead. Crappy trade at best.

I do see that the show is up on Archive.org and it sounds killer. Now I guess I need to go to school to learn some history lessons I hadn't heard of.

"Are there any drummers in the audience"

Who'da thunk it?

Peace!

Who'd believe that the 14 yr old sit in for the 1/2 show that Kane missed over all the years would 6 yrs later be his replacement. Stranger Than Fiction.
